The Old Course Hotel
The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa is located on the 17th Road Hole of the world’s most famous golf course and is one of Scotland’s most luxurious resorts. The Five Red-Star property features the exquisite Kohler Waters Spa in addition to 144 beautiful bedrooms, increasing to 175 total bedrooms during 2021.
The resort has six restaurants and bars, including the acclaimed Road Hole Restaurant and award winning Road Hole Bar, world famous for its selection of over 250 whiskies from every distillery in Scotland.
The resort also boasts a wealth of casual dining options including Hams Hame Pub & Grill, The Jigger Inn and Sands Restaurant, perfect settings to relax after a long day on the links. Guests can also enjoy private dining in The Boardroom, whisky tasting in the Tasting Room, or a welcome drinks reception on the West Deck overlooking the 17th tee.
Located just outside St Andrews with stunning vistas over St Andrews Bay, The Duke’s Course is recognised as one of the best Heathland courses in the UK and one of the few courses in St Andrews with a fleet of golf carts. It’s an ideal location for a warm up round on arrival, or squeezing in 9 holes before flying home. The resort is also now home to the incredible Swing Studio. Great for an evening event for groups where they can play over 60 of the World’s best courses, or ideal for golfers to loosen up prior to teeing off on the 1st of The Old Course.
The Dukes Course
Opened in 1995, the Duke’s St Andrews was designed by five-time Open champion Peter Thomson, to complement the five classic links courses of the Home of Golf in the bay itself and to further enhance St Andrew’s standing as a legendary golfing mecca. Following renovations by Pete Dye’s protégé Tim Liddy in 2006, The Duke’s has now matured into a magnificent championship heathland course that is widely regarded as one of the finest heathland championship courses in the British Isles.
Its spectacular setting perched high above St Andrews offers stunning panoramic views over the ‘Auld Grey Toon’, the magnificent Grampian Mountains and the famous West Sands. Sheltered fairways, mature tree lines and rough-edged bunkers are reminiscent of the great heathland courses of the early 1900s and provide golfers with a welcome respite from the tough windy links of St Andrews. With five separate tee boxes on each hole, The Duke’s offers both challenging play and flexibility for golfers of every level, while the fleet of golf carts allows for some respite for those with weary legs.
