Rates
For European Golf we only take payment in € Euros. For golf courses in Spain an insurance fee is payable direct to the caddy master at the course for non Spanish federated players. This fee is normally €2 per person. Union Jack Golf are not responsible for paying this fee and it is not included in your golf quote.
GOLF BOOKINGS
Golf reservations can not be amended within 72 hours of the tee time or 28 days for groups of 12 or more players. After this time the full amount is payable and non refundable as the course debits our account at this point in time.
HOTELS
All Hotels are booked on a NON-REFUNDABLE BASIS. We have refundable zero deposit rates available, but these are normally more expensive. If you want to book a refundable rate you must let us know. We can book hotels with zero deposits in some cases.
Handicap certificate
The courses do not require you to show a handicap certificate but you should be able to play golf to an acceptable standard normally within a handicap of 36.
Etiquette
The Golf courses will expect you to abide by golf etiquette. This normally but is not limited to wearing a golf shirt with a collar and tailored trousers or shorts and the equivalent for ladies. The golf courses do not mandate golf shoes so you are allowed to wear trainers. Union Jack Golf can not be held responsible for any person who is refused entry to play at a golf course due to not following the courses rules on etiquette.
Group Bookings
Where your booking is for more than one person, the named person responsible for booking your golf break will be treated as the lead name for your booking. The lead name will be responsible for making all payments due to us in accordance with our contract. The lead name is also responsible for keeping all members of his/her party informed as to the booking details, and informing us, in writing, of any amendments to the booking.
Changes and Cancellations
‘No Show’ and late cancellations are subject to a 100% penalty fee. If the golf course is closed (rain, maintenance, competition etc) we will refund the total amount for the green fee and the buggy. In the event of severe weather play may be suspended but resumed the same day. PLAY SUSPENDED DOES NOT MEAN THE COURSE IS CLOSED and therefore you will not be entitled to any refund under these conditions. Union Jack Golf will endeavour to reserve your tee times as close to the time you want to play. Movement or cancellation of your tee times by the golf course are out of the control of Union Jack Golf and therefore we can not be held liable for any movements or cancellations of your tee times by the golf course. Union Jack Golf will endeavour to seek new arrangements for your golf bookings at alternative courses under these conditions but this is subject to availability and the prevailing rates for those courses.
Union Jack Golf Reservations is not liable for:
Slow play at any golf course. Golf played on temporary greens and tees is non-refundable and is considered to be an accepted part of playing golf. Equally trolley and buggy bans occur frequently when a course is wet and are determined by those in charge of the golf course. If a buggy or trolley is not available then Union Jack Golf will not be liable for this as it is beyond our control and in the control of the golf course.
